To Serve In His Name...

Feeding the HungryLight House Lunches

We are thankful for our many blessings and we are privileged to serve in Christ’s name.  Our Food Pantry provides one of many opportunities to serve God and community.  In the past 15 months, 2,698 clients have been served from the Food Pantry.  The food pantry is open every Tuesday and Thursday morning.

Our parishioners have also prepared and delivered over 6,000 bag lunches since 2004 for the Annapolis Lighthouse Homeless Shelter

Land Stewardship

St. Luke’s has been blessed with an abundance of land.  We are charged to be good stewards of this land by using it in service to community in an environmentally appropriate manner.  The St. LuBlessing of the animalske’s Land Stewardship committee is working with the Church, our community, and our politicians to meet the obligations of good stewardship.  Please contact the Church office to request more information.

Community Outreach

Our Easter Egg Hunt continues to be an annual offering St. Luke’s makes to the community.  When the weather cooperates, many families flock to our big front yard, and the hunt is enjoyed by everyone.  Sometimes we team up with Mt. Zion church in this endeavor.  In addition to Shrove Tuesday Community Pancake Suppers, we also offer Spaghetti DinSpaghetti Supperners featuring “Chuck’s Famous Sauce” several times a year.  Our yearly “Little Elves Workshop” offers all kids in the neighborhood an opportunity to make Christmas gifts without requiring them to spend money.  Our Flea Market provides opportunity for our neighbors to find great deals on previously loved merchandise. Our annual Blessing of the Animals provides an opportunity for our animal friends to receive a blessing.

Committees

There is tremendous opportunity to contribute to the life of St. Luke's!  Our members are actively involved in Altar Guild, Worship, Music, Gardening, Stewarship, and Outreach.  Please contact one of our vestry members if you would like to participate.
